Max Swims!
The puppy’s introduction to water. Not far from home is a clear stream called Spavinaw Creek. It flows from the Ozarks of Arkansas and does hold native trout upstream. Not cold enough for trout in this stretch, but I see a bunch of good sized small mouth bass and perch. Need to take a fly rod out here!
Max went in the water of his own accord and then with a little help learned that swimming is something a setter can do and enjoy.–especially in this tropical weather pattern we are experiencing. I look forward to a lot of fun fishing with my new buddy as a faithful bank dog.
