Dog Collars….

Today and yesterday.

I ordered a collar for Max yesterday. His first with his very own name and address on an attached brass plate. I’m sure he will be pleased. It is ordered in fluorescent orange of a size for a 6 month setter.

This got me thinking about the collars of the past and the many miles traveled and experiences with my friends afield. I think I’ve gotten soft. So many memories as I take these out of their place and lay them out. From the various wee little puppy collars to the big boy ones…I can almost hear the sounds of the bells that dangled and sounded while plying the covers…and the silence.
